The Rise of Agentic AI: How Agentic Agents Are Shaping Analytics and Decision-Making

Friday, February 6, 2026 | 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm (CST)
Hosted by: Gina Threinen
FREE! Online via Zoom

As artificial intelligence continues to evolve, a new class of systems known as agentic agents is beginning to reshape how analytics is performed and how decisions are supported. Rather than acting as passive tools, agentic agents are designed to take initiative, interact dynamically with data environments, and collaborate with humans in more adaptive, iterative ways.

Gina Threinen, SMUMN’s associate professor and Executive Director/VP at Wells Fargo, explores the rise of agentic AI from a conceptual and industry-wide perspective. Drawing on her industry leadership and graduate education experience, Gina examines how agentic agents are influencing modern analytics workflows and how they are redefining the relationship between AI-generated insights and human judgment.

The session will remain fully company-agnostic and industry-focused, emphasizing broader trends, implications, and questions rather than specific organizations, tools, or implementations. It is designed to be accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences. This webinar is especially relevant for students, analysts, data leaders, and professionals interested in business intelligence, analytics strategy, artificial intelligence, and the future of data-informed decision-making.
